are you sure they are girls?

i cant find it now but i read somewhere you can tell a male/female just by looking at them.. now according to those photos my "girls" look more like boys dont they? they were sold to us as a pair of girls cause i knew for sure you couldnt house two boys together.. ever!

I can't tell from those pictures. It is much easier to do in person...ha ha...maybe two girls...

Lift their tail up slightly and look at the tail area right below the vent...If you see two elongated looking buldges, it is probably a male and those two buldges are its hemipeni. If you see no buldge, but more like a slightly raised area...it is probably a female.

But I would not consider that reliable without the experience of having been 'shown' what to look for.....it is easy once someone shows you the difference between a male and female in person.....or at least that is my opinion.

The way I was taught to sex a beardie was to place them on the table in front of you, facing away from you. GENTLY pick their tail up to *almost* a 90 degree angle, and if you see the two bulges, it is probably a male, if you see one, probably female.
