It's definately not a cow. I can't really tell because the video is kinda blurry, but it looks like a baby hippo to me. Could be wrong though.....

    Re: Snake Eats Hippo

I saw this a while back. I can't see the video. But I read about it.

They thought it might have been a person. So they poked and proded the snake till it regurged it.

I forget what they said it was. If I recall. It wasn't a hippo. But don't hold me to it.

    Re: Snake Eats Hippo

My first thought was a wild boar but that is far too large. It might just be a very large tapir! I didn't think they got that big...

Depends on the species, but most get relatively large. The Asian Tapir can reach 7+ feet and 700+ lbs, which could easily be confused for a baby elephant or hippo on a grainy youtube film .

It's almost a certainty that the snake is an Anaconda (at least to me, but it is late) which would suggest a Lowland Tapir. As adults they can still hit the 600 lb mark, so that's my uneducated guess .

    Re: Snake Eats Hippo

I think tapir was the conclusion last time this video was debated. The structure of the feet is pretty convincing.
