    Different Ghosts ?

Hey Everyone...I have always liked Hypos (Ghosts) and decided now was the time to get a set of Hets...but when I started looking around I started to get confused by all the names. So I am turning to all my friends to clear it up for me. Can someone post some pics of the different ghosts? I see on KS (and elsewhere) Yellow, Orange, Butterscotch, Hypo (regular?), Peach, Other colors?

There seems to be all these "colors" but several look alot alike ...so I am hoping some side-by-side pics will help me. Thanks

BTW...are all the lines compatible (or mixable?)
    Sean

    Re: Different Ghosts ?

Most of the CB Hypos are all compatible...Although there are some incompatible lines out there...I have a WC "Hypo" female I bred my proven Hypo male to and didn't get any Hypos...I would suggest only buying CB animals...

Here are some Hypos I've produced from a "Butterscotch" line...

    Thanks Guys.

Jon...is there a big difference in the orange vs. butterscotch ghosts? Just from the images they appear very close (at least to my untrained eye )

    Re: Different Ghosts ?

They are very similar, some say the same...I think the Orange Hypos (at least the ones I've seen) are a little darker...I have some Butterscotch females I held back from last year that are very light...Tomorrow I will try to get some pics of them next to a hatchling...I will also try to get some comparison pics from my WC "Hypo" line...That may or may not be compatible with other the lines...

When picking out hets, try to get pics of the Hypo they were produced with and if possible any hatchling Hypo sibs...When you see some Hypos you like, no matter what line go with those...

    Re: Different Ghosts ?

Here are some pics of a hatchling Butterscotch Hypo and a Butterscotch Hypo that is a almost a year old.

These pics are of a Butterscotch Hypo (on the right) and a "Hypo" I produced from a WC male bred back to his daughter. These may or may not be compatible to other lines...The first breeding was the WC "Hypo" male to a proven 100% het Hypo female...Out of 6 eggs I got all Normal appearing babies 100% het for WC "Hypo" and 50% het Butterscotch Hypo...I don't know if I just missed the odds or it's an incompatible line...

When I bred the WC "Hypo" male back to 1 of his daughters I got 6 Hypos out of six eggs...

    Re: Different Ghosts ?

Thanks for the side by side pics Jon. The Ghosts are stellar...it is great to see the adult vs. hatchling pics for comparison as well...and to see how much they change.

I took your advice and found a Hypo adult that I liked and have agreed to purchase a trio of 100% Hets from this breeder. Just happens to be an orange Ghost line. I will post pics soon.

Thanks for everyones help and the great pics.
