BIG dicision
i need help because my dad wants a RTB should i let him or not he is good with snakes but has no EXP with ones over 3' and he put me in charge of the decision because i know the most then anyone in the neighborhood please help me make a dision im only 12 please help

A male rtb shouldn't get too awful big. Maybe 6 feet at the most. My males are around 4-5 feet. If he has some experience with snakes, he should be ok.

I would as always agree Jimi. A redtail is a great boa in all ways. Usually calm, good feeders, highly variable, and readily available, what else can you ask for

One of my males BCI's is well over 7 feet, and BCI's are generally smaller than BCC's. This is not the norm, but be prepared, as they can get big.
It really depends though on the snake's personality. If it is very docile, it should not be a problem, as a male BCI was my first snake as well. However, an agressive 6+ foot snake can definitely be a handful.

You can try getting an island boa.. like a Nic.... they're small.. .about 4-5 feet I believe..
