Re: some people SHOULD have pets... yup, i'm talking about me

I could definitely see how one would see "pit" in those pups. What I'm going off of is real American Pit Bull standards. I am experienced in what the ideal pit bull is supposed to look like. A lot of pit dogs (probably not even full-blooded pit, so i'll just called them pit "dogs") are not what one would want the ideal pit to look like. A lot of people claim their dogs to be full-pit, and it's been my experience that nearly 80% are just mixes, unless there's actual registration papers involved. I hope I'm making sense. What I mean is, it's just easier to say "that's a pit bull," than to explain to someone when they ask what it is, "Well, it looks like _____ but could have ____ and maybe _____ but someone said ______ and my friend thinks _______" Haha, know what I mean?

I'm usually in doubt about most pit dogs, or pit-looking-dogs, unless there's proof. My girl was the butt of some breeding project. Guess she didn't look mean enough? Whatever the case, it's so sad to me that she was just dumped by a breeder that couldn't make the penny they wanted for her. Makes me scared of what may have happened to pups in the past, and if that breeder's still going for it.

Ohhhh!! And, congrats on the pup! She's an absolute cutie! (i'm a sucker for dogs and puppies alike. )

Heinz 57...easiest explanation! No matter WHAT she is, she is a really gorgeous-looking pup. I can't wait to see more pics as she grows up. I just realized what I think her ears look like...mini-envelopes.
