Re: did not eat thawed out mouse...
i wouldnt risk it with your animal. i think they freeze it in a very cold freezer that most house freezers cant do and they freeze them right after the kill. still not worth it to try it for the safety of your animal. just my

As long as you do it right away you should be fine. Don't leave it in the cage for a a few hours then do it. I feed f/t but this week will be getting a live mouse for an occasional change, since I am out of frozen currently.

i think house freezers can or they would not sell them in packs of three. But i already put him in the freezer with the other mouse, I dont see how it could be bad? But I dont know , any more opinions...

Re: did not eat thawed out mouse...
If you thaw out chicken at room temp, or even warm it up in warm water to thaw it, why would you then refreeze it to feed to your family later? It's just going to be harboring even more bacteria and will be likely to make you sick. Refrozen rodents tend to bust after being thawed a second time, it's not pleasant.

Re: did not eat thawed out mouse...
Ball pythons are opportunistic eaters and will eat carrion in the wild. I don't see how a twice frozen mouse will do much harm, in fact it my be more enticing if it has a bit more of an oder. It sounds "gross" to you and me but these are wild animals that eat rotting flesh in their native environment.
That being said, I never had any luck with frozen.
