Question Is floor space important for shedding?

Since I have a 10 gallon right now there's not too much floor space for him. The last time he shed there was much more floor space due to me lacking a few essentials in the setup . I'm assuming he would due just fine climbing if needed, but I just wanted to see some other opinions.
He ate for me today with eye caps and all, no problem. Makes me proud, lol. Anyway give me some feedback on the floor space.

I don't think floor space is much of an issue. I know the last time mine shed I watched her (it takes a long time and is horribly boring) and she was rubbing up against her hide to get it started.

I house the 07 babies in 6qt shoeboxes and they all shed just fine. And a nice, cramped 10-gallon will work great for quite awhile. They like their living quarters small and with lots of cover.

Well... you were right he finally shed. I would have never known if I didn't check on him either. Anyone ever see anything like this. I lift up his hide and...

He must be a neat freak I've never seen shed all balled up so neated like that.

    Very small and compact.

The most amazing thing is that he did it all in here. The hide is big so a gave him that driftwood as furniture.
