    Avatar size

When I take a pic and resize in photo shop, i always make sure that the size is is no bigger than 120 X 150. But it will always tell me that the file is too big, and it's even under the max size of the file. So are the acceptable sizes smaller than they are supposed to be? Or is there something I'm missing?

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 120 by 150 pixels or 150.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

Right, thats my question, its always smaller than the parameters, or right at it. i have to make it WAY smaller than stated, thats why i was confused.
Like right now, i have a picture, its 49.7 kbs, and the dimensions are 150 X 113. But it still tells me its too big.

How are you trying to "point" to the avatar? When I tried to use a remote URL, I would get that same error message, regardless of the size of the avatar or where it was hosted. But when I uploaded an avatar from my computer, it worked fine.

Hmmmmm..... You sure it's a .jpg or .gif? (A no-brainer I'm sure, but thought I'd ask!)

If you'd like you can e-mail it to me and I'll see if I get the same error uploading it. JLC.admin (at) gmail.com

    Hi,

Is the size you quoted right and using the same axis convention as the guidelines?

maybe it needs to be under the size for both axes?

I appologise if this is wrong but 150 x 113 might fall foul of the 120 x 150.

    Re: Avatar size

I took a look at it, and dr. del has the right of it. The max WIDTH for an avatar is 120 pixels. They can be up to 150 pixels tall.
