    Congragulations

    Today was my first time feeding Rex and it went well. took him a while to unabll and relize it was food but when he did he went after it. Like a in expierenced child he didnt kno which end to go after so hed keep spiting it out and try the other end haha but he got it down and all is well. Heres some pictures of him eating

    yea i was too happy he ate well for me and once i put him in he went into his new cave rock i bought. but y is it that he only wants to stay on the warm end never goes other side lol hes weird.

    Because they choose security over thermoregulating. So, it's important that both hides are identical. Have you moved him into a smaller enclosure yet? He's probably terrified in that 55 gallon tank.

    no i havent im gonan let him get used to this one cuz at ngiht time hes climbing all over on the warm side. i could only get one cave cuz the store didnt have any. i wanted 2 same one for each side. but he seems fine. styas curled up hidden at day time and moves around at ngiht for a little bit at a time. next time i hold him after he digests ill put him over o nthe cool side and see what he does hell have to the same caves. im headed off now to the other reptiel store to see if they have that same cave of similar.

    since my BP is smaller how long should i wait normally for him to digest his food. im gonna give him a week this time to settle in after eating .

    Nice job getting him feeding! I usually feed ever 5 to 7 days but the key to putting the weight on seems to be consistency. Whether it's 5 days or 7 days just make sure you don't miss any feedings. Good luck with him
