the price you quoted wasn't horrible. But look around do some research.

The pastel seemed like an impulse purchase from your earlier post. I hate to be a nag, but have you read up and are you ready for a 8 ft boa in a few years? This doesn't need to be answered here, just make sure you know how to take care of it.

It depends what kind of boa you get. A healthy little normal from a breeder is probably still going to run you around $90-100 with shipping.

-----And yes, please know what you're getting into with a boa. Being a parent of scale-kid that was treated wrongly, I have a soap-box issue with this... but will spare you for now

I disagree 100% the prices online go anywhere from 250-750. So considering 750, then 400 isn't so bad, especially if you factor in shipping and such. So if you've already found animals online why ask where to buy one? Little did I know they're illegal where you live... but I have no interest in getting into that with you...

I asked, was given an answer, and then found.

If they are illegal where you live I would highly recomend that you do not get one. Look up the laws and such in your area and try to find a different snake that is legal that you would like to keep and are experienced enough for.

Re: whats the best website to order a RTB?

You have to understand, this bylaw works on a complaint basis, which is why in my other post I told someone not to walk down the street with it, if someone complains your animal can be seized. If this law was as bad as you are making it out to be, all the petstores would be shut down. I have a perfect example of the fact that this bylaw is not enforced but out of respect for a friend I would not like to discuss that. I would just like everyone to not accuse me of making bad decisions and not knowing anything about the animal I want. It is really insulting to me that people would think I would give improper care to an animal, but I know, I know, you don't know me so I guess it is just a habit to assume that about me. All I did here was ask a question, and all I want, is an answer. Before I get my setup with all the proper husbandry needs, I want to know if it is even feasible for me to obtain a RTB in the first place, which is why I started this thread. So once again I will ask, what is the best website to order red tailed boas? The classifieds on kingsnake aren't really doing it for me, I'm hoping theres a site out there similar to Adams 8 ball pythons, except for RTBs. Please don't start a huge arguement, I just asked one simply question.

even if it's just a rarely enforced bylaw it's still the law. if your animal was to be seized who knows what kind of care and future it would have. do you really want to risk that?

one of the TOS of this site states that members may not promote illegal activity, which covers purchasing or owning reptiles that are illegal to own where you live, therefore, we really cannot allow people to answer your question.
