if you have hardwood flooring in the room you think he/she is most likely in, try putting some baby powder or flour on the floor so you can see where shes been going at night

Re: my BP is lost in the house
Ok you can usually find them relatively close to there tanks. Look in the places you think most unlikely. The last time mine got out( before I got a new set up that is totally escape proof) I found him directly under his tank in a tub of my shoes, half way down in the tub buried in one of my shoes!!!
After searching those unlikely spots you can put out a rat in a critter keeper, a heating pad, a bowl of water, flour along the floors to see if he is moving about....there are alot of things that you can try....there are quite a few threads here on "missing" snakes. Try the search engine and i wish you the best of luck in finding your snake

Re: my BP is lost in the house
I have heard of some snake keepers keeping a thin card board box on the floor under racks(where it's warmer) or furniture where a snake would be real cozy and snug so if they ever get escapees they would most likely hide in the box. Easy pickings when you go looking for them. Some rodent bedding in the box might get their attention too.

look in cramped spaces, underneath furniture, whatever, that's where they'll feel most comfortable.

Re: my BP is lost in the house
If your tubs or tanks are anywhere near the stove check that before you turn it on everyday. Especially if it is a gas stove.

Can not stress enough to ALWAYS check the stove before you use it.
The burners on top...inside the oven and in the tray beneath it!!!
There have been quite a few members who have lost their snakes and found them in the stove.
the flour trail is also a great idea.
Good luck and when you find that lil one, make sure to secure him.
Bp's are fantastic escape artists.

Re: my BP is lost in the house
I lost mine a week ago and I freaked out. I thought I had checked thoroughly and I was terrified that he'd gone downstairs. Turns out he was wedged between the wall and countertop in my bathroom, about 7 feet away from his tub. I would keep all the lights off and then search for him at night, when he is likely to be caught in the act, moving around.

Re: my BP is lost in the house
The one time my bp escaped, we found her 10 feet from her cage, in a closet, inside of a shoe. Definitely look nearby, in small cramped spaces.
Also check under the fridge (if the snake is small enough to fit), for some reason when my milksnakes have escaped (they're really good at it!) they always end up under the fridge, I think it gets warm in the back.
And you could use a red bulb as a flashlight to look around at night to see if you see it coming out to explore.
