    Praise/Criticism please

Okay so that's my setup. Temps: 93.0/80.2 Humidity: 50%. The snake is approximately 2' and very close to the same length as the enclosure. Aspen, plant bowls, and some fake plant strands from Wall-Mart make up the inside. Oh and there's a tupper wear water dish in the back. So, is the enclosure a good size? That's my main question, although any other criticism/pointers would be nice.

    Thanks,
    Austin

I'd ditch that human heating pad and get you one meant for reptiles with a rheostat at the very least.

I see only 2 things i would change.First find another secure way to prevent him from escaping. Those books will not do the job as he will find a area to push the lid up.Second why is that gauge inside of the enclosure? I would place the probe thru a hole and have the gauge set outside of the enclosure.

    Re: Praise/Criticism please

My stupid work (firewall) is blocking the picture, but it sounded nice to me except what everyone else said about it. Little things to work on!

Except... make sure you get a lid and fast. BP are good at getting away!
I've known a few ppl that have lost there BP's.
And won dude was an a** to his snake. All of you would have loved to kill him!
    Don't even get me started!

but anyway... if I use my imagination I can picture a good looking setup!
    Well done!
oh, and make sure you have a hide for each side... which u probably already do!
I didn't imagine that for some reason... weird!

Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?

I would imagine because he's measuring the cool side and the hot side at the same time, using the probe for one side and the probe built into the gauge on the other.

    Re: Praise/Criticism please

Dark Angel got it. I didn't think it would be a problem. Is it? About the books...Well I'm going to use binder clips as soon as I can find some big enough. My next Idea is going to be to sauder more holes and make a hinge in the back with wire ties. Other than that does anyone else have any ideas?

    Thanks alot,
    Austin

No your thermometer is not an issue I use the same to measure the temps on the warm side and the cool side I just leave most of the wire outside.

Definitely ditch the human heating pad they are not made to run 24/7 nor to maintain proper constant temps, you want to get a device designed for reptiles. Reptile heating pad or flexwatt heat tape in both cases the heat source must be controlled by a thermostat.

And use paper clips to secure your enclosure or ties between your tub and the lid will work also.
