    Re: My first Tegu....

    Thanks you guys!

No problem on the links, these guys are just awesome. She/he will be an impressive adult, I couldn't imagine keeping an aggresive tegu.

    Will keep you guys updated!

    Re: My first Tegu....

Man, after reading over this thread, I've remembered how much I'd love to get one. I sure don't have enough room for an 8' cage.... could a smaller cage be used? Like maybe 4ft long?

I know some people that use a 6x3x3 for a single tegu but most of them also allow their tegu to free roam, meaning there is a little door on the cage they can go in and out of whenever they feel the need.

If you are looking for a tegu that doesn't get as big and requires a smaller enclosure I would suggest a Blue Tegu. Blue Tegu's has reach an overall length of about 3 ½ feet. The Blue Tegu is the smallest of the Tegu family.
They require a 6x3x3 cage, and can live comfortably in that.

Ron is probably one of the best Blue Tegu breeders there is and has discovered some awesome lookins morphs.

Looks great!!! I can't wait for ours to get that big (and bigger!)!!!

Why haven't you posted about him on theTegu.com??

It's funny you show him in the Tegu forum on Ball-Pythons.net. I frequent the Snake section of BeardedDragon.com, but don't check the rest of the site much anymore.
