I am a VERY Proud Mama!!!

Literally just got back from my 18 year old daughter, Jessicas highschool graduation....I have to say I am happy and sad and meloncholy all at the same time. It was amazing to me to see my first born walk across the field to recieve her diploma.
When we found eachother after the tossing of the hats we took the standard pics, then she grabbed my hand and said she wanted to show me her favorite spot on campus. She dragged me to a far away corner of the large campus and we end up at a childs playground and classroom....the classroom where she was a student teacher for four years for preschool kids. And then she started to cry....it broke my heart and made me even more proud of her. She is scared to death right now about her future....she will start college in the fall to be what else...a teacher! My daughter is going to make the most loving caring teacher out there

Awww Lisa. My oldest graduated year before last and I remember that bittersweet feeling...both proud of her but sad a bit that she was moving out of that last place in her childhood. I don't know about you, but I remember as I watched her do her walk that I thought back for a moment to the day of her birth and just....smiled.

Congrats to the both of you! I'm sure your daughter will make a great teacher specially if she has a love for kids now. What grade is she looking to teach? I know I had the best teachers in 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and one in 11th-12th grade.

Thank you to everyoneI'm not sure if Jessica has totally decided what age to teach I am pretty sure that she is wanting to stay with the younger children. I will be sure to pass on your kind words to her!

ah yes i remember when i graduated last year.my mom and the rest of my family were very happy for me to have graduated.congrats to your daughter, hopefully she'll find the right path for herself.
