    pretty cool story.

so i was moving around some stacks and rocks in my ackies cage a little bit and i decided to half burry a nice flat rock i have at an angle so h can aybe start another burrow. im digging a little dirt and all of a sudden it opens up into an ackie burrow! im thinking whoa. it was the end of my ackies burrow and it was on the other end of his 5 foot cage of where he started it.

its a 4 foot long burrow that goes to where the dirt is a little warmer because of a che i have to keep ambient temps up. im gonna say 80 degrees. i didnt think to check it before i wetted the dirt down and packed it back into the burrow nice and hard so he can still have his nice burrow. by the way, it was only about 4-5 inches deep where it ended. how deep it was before that, i dont know. i think because he wanted the heat to sleep.

he started it at one end by his basking/crevice area (day spot) and dug it to his nice warm "sleeping" spot. im thinking so he never has to expose himself to a predator out in the wild. VERY smart little animal.

    thanks for listening.
