Mouse soaked in water...ok to eat?
When feeding my male snake the dumb mouse jumped in the water bowl and thats where he was killed. so the darn thing was soaking wet, in the water bowl, and thats where he ate it. that ok? I mean, hes def gonna be hydrated now, but can that be harmful?

Please don't take this as me calling you ignorant but don't leave the mouse in the water...like I said that's probably obvious. Generally you should be watching your snake feed especially when feeding live. If a rodent gets into the water and can't get out you should be observant enough to see this before it drowns and remove it. Use hemostats/tongs etc to avoid the snake mistaking you for its meal while in hunt mode

Re: Mouse soaked in water...ok to eat?
I think he means his snake killed the mouse after it fell in?
I concur though - it should not be an issue. I had one snake that would purposely take her f/t food over to her water bowl and dunk it a few times before eating it. It only happened a couple times, but it sure was weird.

I plop mouse in cage, mouse runs around, snake comes out of hide, snake chases mouse around cage, mouse runs into water bowl, snake makes attack in water bowl.
even if i had tongs there, he was so close to the mouse that as soon as it hit the water he made his attack.
I didnt LEAVE the mouse in the water and I DO watch my snake eat incase of problems.
