    Wooohooo she ate!!

    Hi,

My little holdout hatchling just ate her first voluntary meal.

She had been getting more and more curious about the food on offer and tonight she nosed it for ages (I was dangling it by the tail trying not to breathe)
then WHAMO!! she struck and coiled.

Nothing unusual - in fact it may even have been cooler than normal as I wasn't expecting anything to happen.

I'm not even going to let the fact the others arent eating depress me. ( I'm trying change their patterns to eating from the floor with no zombie rat dances and they seem unimpressed.)

I am such the happy camper right now!

    Awwww, that's great, Derek!!

I always wonder what it is in their little minds that finally clicks over and makes them decide that little rodent needs to be dinner?

Congrats Derek! Nothing nicer than a little snake with a nice belly full of rodent.

Just for you my lady I went and switched the lights back on.

Hopefully now she will start sprouting like a weed.

She does love her coconuts but the humid hide only gets used when she's shedding - or as a perch.
