Re: I thinking of getting a leo, can you guys help me out?
I don't have a picture, and my set up is very new, but here is a list of things I have in it.
29g tank
Screen Top
Screen Lid Clamps (to prevent escape and cats getting in)
2 Thermometers with probes (one on each side)
Half Circle Log Hide (on the cool side)
Cage Carpet (I refuse to use sand. While carpet is harder to clean, it is safer for the reptile. Crushed walnut substrate is extremely dangerous.)
Shallow water dish
Calcium dish (I provide Chibi with calcium at all times)
Mealworm dish (It has a lip so the mealworms can't crawl out but Chibi can get them.)
Coconut Hide (on warm side, with sphagnum moss. Acts as humid hide)
Sphagnum Moss (for use in humid hide)
75w day bulb (to keep temps around 88 during the day)
75w night bulb (I have both blue and infared. Temps never drop below 75 and with the infared bulb, they never drop below 80.)
I also have a heavy book on top of the cage to prevent my cats from opening the cage, just incase the clamps get popped off.
Re: I thinking of getting a leo, can you guys help me out?
Here is my very simple set-up for a baby we got about a month or so ago. I need to take more pictures - she's really growing!
This is a 15 quart tub, with a UTH on a dimmer - which is working for us right now although I prefer thermostats. There's a humid hide, a regular hide, a bowl with water, a bowl that always has mealies available and a lid from a milk gallon that has calcium in it:
This is the wee one when she came home with me. She was an "accidental" addition to our household - she was a free adoption from Petco since she was missing part of her tail
