I was fooling around with some camera settings
I have been playing with my digital camera trying to figure out just what everything is and what it all does. Turns out the more light the better with certain settings. It's really just a good excuse to enjoy my snakes. Here's a few I selected but I will admit I needed to use aditional software (Photoshop Elements) to assist in presenting better pictures. Enjoy!!!
Camera = Fuji Finepix F30 6mp
...My 2 models
......Abby (female) an '06 Jungle Bred by Bob Clark
......Oakley (male) an '06 Jungle Bred by AAR(Australian Addicted Reptiles)

Now for Oakely. He is the only one in my small '06 collection that has colored up with lots of yellow already.
===Oakley, I like this pretzel shot showing the banding and the blotchy===

I really need to get my tri-pod working for me, next time, and it's obvious that more light is needed to take advantage of the higher F-stop numbers with adequate shutter speeds due to the snakes always moving.
It was fun and a great learning experience. If you have any suggestions feel free to advise.

Re: I was fooling around with some camera settings
Thanks for the nice comments. As you can see I need to work on it somemore so any and all suggestions is greatly appreciated.
My backdrop was improvised...I couldn't find the black cloth I intended to use so I dug out a solid black sweatshirt spread out on a livingroom chair. I looked for something with low reflection and that was the best qualifier. I'd like to try a white background. Maybe use a white posterboard.
I owe some belly shots to Blake so that will be my next adventure and I'll try to use the white background. I may set them on glass and cover with a white sheet, shoot from underneath and see what happens. Fun stuff!!!
Here's a couple more only cut down in size but otherwise stock no mods.
========================Oakley===========================
F4, ss 1/60, ISO 400, focal length 16mm, 0 step, shutter priority, Tungsten white balance
========================Oakley===========================
F6.4, ss 1/60, ISO 400, focal length 16mm, -2 step, shutter priority, Tungsten white balance
Looks like the -2 step combined with the F-stop increase produced a slightly darker image. I'm sure the -2 was the mistake from an earlier try and I just forgot to reset it.
