    Eggs!!!

Hey! My Super Giant Albino female (bred to SHTCT) laid eggs this morning. She was acting (and looking) like she was trying to lay them last night, so I misted the moist hide down a lot and put her in. I woke up this morning and there they were! The look fertile (and they should be since they mated a few times)! I put them in deli-cups with vermiculite and there're in the incubator at 88.5 degrees F. I'll get pics up later, since I don't have time to uplad them right now.

Anyone else breeding them this season? What morphs are you working with?

    Re: Eggs!!!

I am planning on breeding my newest male leo(blizzard) with one of my female leos(reg). I dont do much with morphs, yet anyway, I always just bred regs for the fun of it.

    Re: Eggs!!!

Congrats on the eggs! Just a quick question. Does temps matter for the snakelings inside the shells to determine the sex like in crocodiles and alligators?

    Re: Eggs!!!

if he gets snakelings out of those eggs i think we'll all be REALLY impressed! (he is talking about leo eggs . )

but yes, leos are temperature sex dependant. lower incubation temps produce females, higher produce males, mid-range produce both.

    Re: Eggs!!!

I decided to just go ahead and candle them instead of waiting my usual week (since I'm so excited since it's my first clutch of the year) and they look great! Definitely fertile!! Very pinkish/redish glow!

Also, I checked my female and she still had another full egg in her!!! That makes 3! That's awesome!! I'll see if she'll lay it or if she's going to wait for another egg and lay it as another clutch. Wish me luck!!
