I don't think the kid did anything wrong.. how dumb would you have to be to provoke a 16' boa anyway? Kids that are raised in areas where dangerous animals abound are going to be taught by their parents to avoid them.

I do not see how an annie, biting and also constricting, is being defensive at all.. that is purely a feeding response. A defensive strike would have been quick; I don't think they use constriction as a means to kill attackers.

it probably saw the kid as an easy meal that wouldn't put up much of a fight, as for anacondas eating people, i bet it happens all the time over there just noone hears about it
