The setup is great. The colors on him tell me that he is pretty certain to be a he. Females do not tend to be that yellow on the back; normally very drab in color.
I would not put any water bowls in the enclosure as this could increase the humidity in the cage. The best to feed them is plenty of dark leafy greens. Such as; red-leaf lettuce, green-leaf lettuce, kale, collared, mustard, and turnip greens, and dandelions. I would caution against too much spinach and broccoli as they contain lots of oxalates. These bind with the calcium and the animal does not get any of it.
I also feed mine bird seed as well as navy beans and lentils.
