You don't stop laughing because you grow old; you grow old

Re: My tic shed
nice colors!!!
just curious... how much longer do you intend to take her out of her cage to feed?
reason i say is i use to do that but i had a couple of close calls, after that i started hook training and then feeding them in the cage. you really dont want to be around them when they eat so they dont lock on to you (even when they are in the cage).
when i feed i make sure the prey item is nice and warm and i toss it in the cage and get out of there... i dont want them to associate my presence with food.

Re: My tic shed
She was around 7'8" when I measured her back in late December. She is 16 months I believe.
She refused one meal in the rubbermaid, so then I tried the cage, but she didn't take to it. I know what you're saying about the whole taking out of the cage to feed and such.

how long have you had her? try to wait her out for a week or two (dont feed her)... then toss some food in her cage... i bet she'll take it with gusto!
i have noticed with my retics, that if i stay in the room and watch them, they sometimes lose interest in food and will lock on to your movements.
