Thats good to hear! She is the perfect snake. She eats well and sheds perfectly as where my "Balls" are much more trouble!

Re: Well Nicky is 5 months old now!
I just wanted to warn you that you are power feeding your snake and that is not good it will shortin his life check with your local vet or ask question he is a nice looking snake I would hate for him to have a shorter life than he should be intitiled too.

yeah. that sounds like a little too much food. I feed mine 1 rat pup a week, and he is at about her size as well. He is about 5 months too.

There is no way to tell how big the small mice are. I agree though, try and feed just 1 appropriately sized rat or mouse. I would really work on getting her switched onto rats soon though, some B.c.i. have been known to have a hard time with the transition from mice to rats.
She looks great and looks to be just about right body weight from what I can see. Congrats with such a nice baby and keep up the good work!!

Too many boas to list and a few balls as well

Re: Well Nicky is 5 months old now!
I have seen large mice that were nothing more than what I would call hoppers being sold at some places.
If this snake is eating the tiny "large mice" that they sell around here, then 2 at a time would be fine.
The snake doesn't appear to be out of proportion so I don't think the current feeding schedule is bad.
It really all depends on how large the "large mice" really are.

Re: Well Nicky is 5 months old now!
Thanks for the advice! The mice she is eating are just barely bigger than hoppers. I won't shop at my local "Chain Pet Store" so I had to find a local pet store and they are few and far between where I live. The guy who owns this pet store is a snake breeder also, so that is kinda cool. His mice are tiny but they are close to the house so I give her two which would be equal or slightly more than a normal mouse.
He breeds Rainbow Boas, and Columbian Boas. He also has some of the most beautiful Dumerils I have ever seen, but I already have 4 snakes and the wife said no more, even though 2 are hers!
My friend who owns a pet store is 37 miles away and I take my Balls there to feed every other week during the winter monthes because they are so finicky and I'm tired of house stinky Rats! I know some will say the travel will stress the snakes but they seem to eat much better at his store than my house so my friend gets the business and I have no rats to take care of.

This is random but I just bought a pair of plaid vans!
She's a good size for her age!
