    Re: Cali king regurgitated

I was looking around in the yellowpages.ca and found this place called The Menagerie Pet Shop who say that "We also [have] frozen and live rodents in numerous sizes". Try giving them a call, they might hook you up.

That's exactly where I went yesterday and was very disappointed. They don't have live pinkies either, and the snakes' enclosures were very dirty as well. i bought a bag of bark from them, but when i got home i dumped it all in the garbage as it was crawling with bugs. I'll just stick with aspen, thank you.

Don't rely on Petco, Petsmart, etc ...

Just look around. There has to be someplace.
It's true, not a snake store around. We have Petsmart and PJ's Pets (that's where i bought a couple of mice last week one of which did not survive by next day). I have to travel out of this big city just to get proper snake stuff or order online.

Yeah, it is a ceramic heatlamp w/ infrared heat bulb. I since got a dimmer, so he has a much wider temp range if he chooses.

I had a similar incident when I first go my cali king. Did you defrost the pinky in warm water ? I keep my king at 80 - 90 temperature gradient to insure proper digestion.

Yep, I defrosted it in warm water and made sure it was warm enough for him and not too hot either. The temps he's in now is 75 - 95. I fed him again since, bought him new F/T pinkies, the smallest possible. Looks like this time he'll be ok.
