pics of two of my tanks

i set up two albums with yahoo... one for my 135 gallon frontosa tank and one for my 210 community tank.

if you wanna check out the pics... click here!

we've done a lot of work on the tanks lately... so they are looking very nice indeed!!!

our fish are so mature and getting so big. the largest of the frontosas is 10"+ although they look tiny in those pics... they are HUGE!

the eel "not steve" is about 10" as well... to give you an idea of scale in the 210.

but everything looks small in a big tank. it's weird... we'll get a nice sized fish... toss it into the tank and say "oh wow, i thought it was bigger than that LOL"

Wow, you must have invested a lot in those. How long have they been set up?

Thumbs up Re: pics of two of my tanks

...something is wrong in your setup! The couch is facing the wrong way! I think I'd be more apt to be hanging off the back of the couch gazing into that huge community rather than the tv! (assuming the couch is facing the tv).

Looks beautiful, are those live plants? I always liked working with live plants but I've never done anything as big as you have going.

Re: pics of two of my tanks

they've been set up for either 2 or 3 years... can't remember sorry LOL

yup, all live plants in both. the cichlids tend to be rougher on their plants so they don't get as nice... we have to thin the plants in the 210 on a regular basis... to keep them from taking over the tank.

trust me, we don't spend much time looking at the tv... we spend a lot of time watching our tanks! we tried moving the couch to the other side of the room so we could view the tank from it... but then you are too far away. it's nice to just turn on the couch, sitting sideways and gaze... and gaze... and then you say, "hey i forgot we had *insert fish here* - when did we get that?" LOL

we stand on the stairs staring at the tank too... to get to those 'hiding behind the scene' fish.

our tank has a lot of interesting more 'hard to get' stuff in it, which is what makes it such a joy for us. it's not just 'run-o-the-mill' fish in it.

Awesome! Your tanks are definately top notch. We have a similar setup with our loveseat in front of our 125g.. we spend a lot of time sitting backward watching the fish as I am sure you do!

WOW! I just hit slide show and sat back and watched! Your tank and fish are totally amazing and relaxing! I found myself totally immersed in the photos and upset when they stopped! LOL
