I'm so sorry. I know you tried everything possible, and at least the little guy isn't suffering anymore. You have my deepest sympathies.

    Re: Well wishes please.

Thank you tigerlily. We brought him home instead of leaving his body there and let Hudson and Cooper check him out. Hudson didn't seem to care (that's Hudson for you, ice cold he is) but Cooper, who was here with Marz before Hudson came home seemed a bit more concerned. He gave Marz's body a last bath, tried to nuzzle him awake then laid down half on him and looked at Ryan and I like "Okay, very funny bring him back". He was really down the rest of the night but seems to have gotten over it as he's currently killing one of his mouse toys.

Oh that just breaks my heart. I never thought about giving closure to the other animals in the house. That's such a sweet thought.

Back home we always buried our animals on the farm so everyone got 'closure' as it was. Just how I was brought up I guess.

    Re: Well wishes please.

Oh I'm so sorry to read about the little one's passing. It's a terribly hard thing for an owner to put down a beloved companion but in the end it's sometimes the best, most humane and loving decision you can make. I know you'll miss him terribly but it seems you and your vet did all things possible. In the end you gave him a gift of love and peace from his suffering. No caring owner can do anything more I think in these situations.

    Re: Well wishes please.

I'm soooooooo sorry to hear that you had to have Marz PTS!!!!!!!

Take comfort in knowing that he's not in pain (for whatever reason was making him so ill) and you did the best you could for him by loving him, caring for him and trying soooooooo hard to find out what was wrong and trying to make him better!

My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

    Re: Well wishes please.

Thank you both. It's gotten better since some days have passed. The other two are keeping me occupied, as I type I have a blue eyed hand warmer named Hudson who deposited his poundage on my hands.
    So yes, they help.
