just a few questions
Hey im looking into getting a leopard gecko i've done all the research, and i have a 10 gal terrarium to house him or her in. so i have a few questions though before i get it. Is there a difference in personality and size in male or female leos? i know how to sex them but i might have to special order from our local petstore and i would have a choice so should i get male or female?? Also about what is the average price to buy a normal leopard gecko? Equally important is could you guys show me some pics of normal leos. and/or different types like snow, and the others,or lead me to a site that can show them?? thanks

Re: just a few questions
adult males and females are about the same size but males have bigger/broader heads. personality is about the same also with the exception of what is referred to as a "hot" female. this refers to a leo that was incubated at a borderline temperature or at a temperature that normally produce males but for whatever reason the gecko turned out female. these females tend to be fiesty! i'm not really sure how common those are though, so i wouldn't base my decision on what sex to get on that.
if you think you might want to get more leos in the future you might get a female since males can't live together and if you house them with a female they will breed.
here is a link with some photos and descriptions of the different leo morphs: http://www.vmsherp.com/LCLeopardNames.htm

One thing though. I'm pretty sure hot females are a result of being too hot (above the male range)not between the female and male temps, and they are also often sterile.

Re: just a few questions
I kept my pair of leos in a 40 breeder which was huge, yet they appreciated it. I moved them to tubs but have been having more problems with tubs than tanks so I'm moving them back. Heres my Patternless females as youngins
and my fat normal female

Too many boas to list and a few balls as well
