Picture suggestions
Latest picture of Obsidian Butterfly
Any suggestions on how to take better pictures of a Black blood? I took some headshots, but I'm too embarressed to post them. For the last 2 weeks before she moved into her boaphile, she started really pushing her nose against the lid of her VE Tub trying to get out, so her nose is a bit smashed.

OOOH!
Now I know what you mean about it being too bad we're far apart. Dark and lovely lady! She looks like she could be Vader's clutchmate! They'd make some great young'uns!
I have to turn off AWB (auto white balance) when shooting pics of dark snakes - especially if they are on a light background. Also have to macro for the closeups. I may have totally missed the point of your question - do tell if so.

I don't care if that isn't a great picture.. that snake makes me melt! If you ever want to sell her, please let me know.

Re: Picture suggestions
Maybe put her on a white background and try to get enough light without using your camera's flash. Set up lights around the snake instead. The white background will reflect the light onto her as well, but hopefully not enough to cause more glare than is desired.
