    Arboreal Snakes & Exo Terras

I was just wondering if any of you keep your Arboreal Snakes in the Exo Terra enclosures?

I know the XL and even the newer 2XL & 3XL are fair sizes glass enclosures.

No arboreals, but if I had one, it would be in a plastic cage.

Any pics of the exo terra cages?

I'm using a converted plastic tub for my amazon tree boa. Its not all that fancy but its easy to clean and the snake is thriving.

Re: Arboreal Snakes & Exo Terras

Hey Shaun, here's a link for the Exo Terras: http://www.exo-terra.com/EN/products...rariums_i.html
I currently have three, one small, one medium, and one one XLarge. They have lockable doors, a front vent, and a lockable screen top. You can have glass cut to lay on the top to help regulate humidity.

My son and I currently keep tree frogs, poison dart frogs, & geckos in our Exo Terras right now. The manufacturer claims you can keep snakes in them and I know of a store called, "That Fish Place / That Pet Place" that keeps ALL of their reptiles for sale in these. They must have near 100 of these on their retail floor, but then again it's not their permanant home there either.

I go to "that pet place" every few months, to stock up on supplies....

That reptile room is awesome now. It is an entire room 3 shelves high stocked with Exo Terra Terrariums...I bought one for my Dumpy Tree frog....I've seen hatchling Arboreal snaked in them, but I don't know how much space an adult will have.

Re: Arboreal Snakes & Exo Terras

Wow, good to hear someone else knows and buys from there.

YEH, that new reptile room is REALLY nice now! If any of you are ever in the area, I'm talking even within 100 miles it's worth stopping by this place and checking it out. It's PET EVERYTHING! I've been all over the east coast, even parts of the west and I've never found anything as big or as nice as "That Pet Place / That Fish Place". I'm so glad I only live about a 25 minute drive from it, but then again my wife isn't.

Anyways, sounds like no one has expereince with Exo Terras and snakes then.

I have a BP in an EXO TERRA 18x18x18 and he loves it. He constantly climbs up the back wall and all over the sides. I wish it was only 12" tall but I wanted the largest footprint so it would last a while before I needed to put him in something else.

    see: http://www.ball-pythons.net/gallery/...=3&userid=3771

I have cleaned it several times and because it has a removable top and glass doors that open in the front it is super easy to clean.

I think that a small boa would thrive in the 24x18x24, but once it got to 4 feet it would need more space.
