How to, Getting them to hold still!

A small small article on getting those squirmy snakes to hold still long enough to get some good shots!

Take a small bowl or container and refrigerate it for on average, about 3-5 minutes. Take the snake and set it where it is going to be photographed, and place the refrigerated bowl or container over the snake. Let them sit long enough to cool the snake down in order to get it to sit still for the shoot. DO NOT let the snake get too cold as this can cause problems. As soon as the snake is settled down, remove the bowl and snap some pictures. This will allow you to get some pictures of the snake in those "perfect circles". Enjoy!

Trust me it works! Another note on this method. Don't let the bowl get cold, just cool enough to relax the snake, or get it to calm down. You do not want the snake to get sick from sudden temperature changes or things of the like. I hope this one help's everyone

Trust me, I have thought about putting that snake or lizard in the freezer to cool it down so I could get that shot. hahaha

so how do you get your tarantulas to sit still when you photograph them?

Well, I set them on the background, and take as many pictures as I can before I get ready to hall butt across the room to catch them with a cup





Haha. I'm just kidding. I use this same method. It works about the same as it would with snakes, except you have to get the spider under the bowl first lol.
