my wife's always been obsessed with the Korean Rat Snake since we saw a random little entry in a :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r: bartlett book... so at NARBC chicago i picked one up as somewhat of a surprise for her. the problem is, i cant really find too much info on them?
anyone here keep them?

Re: Korean Rat Snakes anyone??
I just dug through my ratsnake book for ya, and Elaphe s. anomala appears to be a subspecies of Elaphe Schrencki, the Amur Ratsnake. So any care sheet on the Amur should be the same care your Korean rat should need!
The book says they're climbers and like branches in the enclosure, and they like their temps to be on the cooler side like 77F during the day and cooler at night is fine. I hope that helps!

Re: Korean Rat Snakes anyone??
awesome! thanks... i did know they were a subspecies of the amur (russian), but i definitely did not know they like to climb.
for the record, this is probably the craziest snake i've owned! he seems to be fairly intelligent and extremely active when he's not hiding. think kingsnake on crack.
