    Fed ex shipping

I just got off the phone with fedex and I was told they only verify people to ship reptiles from business to business. We cannot ship to residental addresses. You sign a legal liability waiver and it states they only can be shipped to business. The fedex live animal rep told me if we are caught shipping to residental addresses are account will be cancelled. Anyone else run into this? So everyone that says they are fed ex verified to ship live reptiles are actually not supposed to ship to residental addresses only businesses.

This is interesting I hope you are wrong lol. Doesn't make any sense due to the fact just about everyone (75%?) on this forum has recieved snake through the mail that was delivered directly to there residential address.

Never heard that before. Have you thought to ask them about it being a home based business? A lot of people run a business straight from their home...i'd use that as a way.

Another thing you can do is ship to the customer and have FedEx hold the package for the customer. The customer will have to come pick it up from the fedex facility. That's a nice way to do it too cuz then you don't have to worry about your animal riding in a truck till it arrives..ya know?

    Re: Fed ex shipping

I asked and got the same answer the fed ex animal desk is 18004059052 I even called my local sales person and she talked to the legal department and they all said the same thing we cannot ship to residental addresses. Only businesses. So this is a really big bummer.

I guess I'm not worried. I have never had a problem recieving snake ever or shipping them. I am now just getting certified to ship.
