    Re: Monty?

Yes, I have a Monty. We were tossing around names one day and said Monty jokingly, and that's what my 5 year old picked. It's his snake, but I take care of him. Now, I see so many Montys, so my husband said we should name him Montel.

I try to stay away from Monty.

I do have a Peter Parker and a Shrek.

I thought it was witty as hell when I got mine named that already. One of the first threads here was someone looking to change theirs's name from Monte though. I named him after the cobra in ricky ticky tavi instead lol

    Re: Monty?

I voted yes back when this poll was put up, but technically it was my daughter's first BP, and she had it at her dad's house. It died when they treated it for mites, so when she wanted another one I decided to get it for her and keep it at my house. The rest, as they say, is history

On a sidenote, tonight we are going to see Spamalot
Would have been a lot better to see it in New York when Tim Curry was playing King Arthur, but this will do nicely. And it's not just my generation that loves the Python boys...my daughter and her boyfriend are just as excited about tonight as I am

    Re: Monty?

I haven't personally but the first burm I ever saw or became acquainted with was Monty. He lived in the biology lab of the CC where I was a student and belonged to the prof. who was the head of the dept. That's where I REAAALLY started seriously considering getting a snake as a PET.

Caring for Monty, the boas, kings, diamondback, side-winder was soooo fascinating. Made me want to GET one.
