I have my rats in an aquarium and was using pine bedding. They were sneezing a lot with that, which is why I switched to YN. They haven't been sneezing like before. As for the smell, I'm not sure which has worked better. What's another alternative?

i use yesterday's news as litter for my kittens... but really only because they were recently de-clawed. as for dust, it says right on the bag "99.7% dust free". i really does seem to be very low-dust, but i dunno about using it for herps. i'd rather use regular newspaper as bedding than pelleted newspaper. what if they accidentally ingested it??

Well, in this thread, everyone's talking about using it for rats, not for herps. I'll move this thread to the feeder forum to prevent any more confusion.
