    New Arrivals (DU WARNING)

    Okay, okay okay...

So.... This FedEx driver shows up at my door at like 9 this morning... (didn't he know I'm ALWAYS sleeping at 9am???) and wants me to sign for this box... (that he's holding on its side, let me add in disgust)... so I sign for it, bring it into the house.... and there's some kind of spun fabric that would usually be used to make fake spider webs for Halloween in the box. Kinda odd, I thought to myself, as I probed deeper, into the box.

I found these four baggies.... almost canvas in their construction. Each bag was securely fastened shut with both a piece of thread tied in a knot, and a rubberband that was doubled over about 18 times.

I finally got into the first bag that was labled something like "hetaxa-f1", and there was a little tiny snakey in there. It looked normal enough, so I weighed it, and it weighed around 76g. Kinda tiny, I thought to myself as I found a spare tub to put this new arrival into.

My interest was immediately peaked, as I eagerly tried to get into the next bag marked something like "hetpied-f1"... plopped her on the scale.... checked quickly for the het pied marker that I read all over the place SHOULD be stapled to her belly somewhere... and set her up in another tub that I just so happened to have ready for her.

I then went for bag #3, and it was labled "spi-f1"... I thought... All this fake spider webbing, and no spider??? So I opened that bag up, and plopped her on the scale.... and it DOES appear that the fake spider webbing was actually REAL spider webbing... She weighed an impressive 66g:

I was hoping that I had saved the best for last when I got to the last bag. It was labled something similar to "less-m1"... so I thought, hey.... usually less means more... so I opened him up, plopped him on the scale, and to my surprise, he was the biggest of them all, at 111g. Looking to EASILY be able to devour the rest in one foul swoop.... It seems less really WAS more! (And you'll have to excuse me for the rest of this post, as I feel it necessary to post multiple pics/poses of this little guy )

Well.... All you guys that couldn't wait to see pics of the "superbalicious super-morphadelic ball" - - if he doesn't eat next week, it's all your faults for making me disturb him during his settling in period!
    Ken

I was beggining to think that this storyu had a sad ending, but no way !! I like the lesser. How much do hatchlings usually go for? BTW, are all lessers ''platies"?

Awwww....I'm hurt that your special visitor didn't show up in your story anywhere?

Hehehe....I've got braggin' rights 'cause I got to watch the box opened and see all the babies come out of each bag....such wee little darlings!!! Got to hold 'em, too!

The spider looks like a real sweetie...not shy at all. And the lesser...ohmygosh! He's a little rockstar!!!

Thank you again, Ken...for letting me share that very exciting experience!!
