happy hatch day to me!

i found this earlier today (day 56) upon checking in on my incubating clutch:








(ok, so i'm a little excited )

this clutch is the result of breeding cash (100% het pied) to norah (normal). 10 eggs were laid, two of which went bad fairly early on, leaving me with a total of 8 eggs looking good and ready to pop. just the two noses in the photos have pipped so far.

here's hoping for lots of girls to raise up to try for pied babies with!

thanks ya'll! the one with the cute little spots on its nose keeps coming about 1/4 of the way out and nosing around, but then when it sees me it goes backing right back up into the egg and the little flap closes behind it. silly thing! come out and meet me already!
