pics of my normal balls

since i just joined this forum not to long ago i figured i should post some pics of my ball pythons .

this is mowgli my largest female bp . she is getting close to 5 feet and about 2600 grams .




gretchen my slightly smaller female at 56 inches and about 2400 grams .





and woozle who was supposed to be a male , but who might actually be a female . i have to take him/her to work tomorrow and probe to be sure . woozle is right at 4 feet and almost 1300 grams .





i am also getting a pastel male the end of this week . i cant wait for him to be shipped to me . i'll post some pics when i get him .

Nice!!! And welcome again! Are you getting an adult Pastel, if so are you gonna make some "eggs" !?!?! I'm new with the BP Morph thing, but if I understand correctlly, you'll get pastels from a pastel+normal.... right!?!?

thanks yall . the three normals are all feeding on f/t large rats . the pastel male i'm getting is an 06 so it will be a year or 2 before he is ready to put with any of the females . as far as breeding this year i have a possible breeder loan for a pastel male to put with one of my females and a yellow belly to put with another . woozle is up in the air right now as he/she was supposed to be a male , but a couple days ago when i was demonstrating to a friend how to pop a ball python he popped female . now i'm going to have to take him into the petshop i work at to probe him/her to be sure .

laooda , when breeding a normal to a pastel each baby has a 50/50 chance of being pastel or normal . so technically you should get half pastels and half normals from a pastel x normal breeding .

gretchen is very special to me . she is the critter that got me back into this wonderful hobby . i took her in as a rescue almost a year ago even though i had reservations . i had been out of the hobby for about 8 years at that time . when i saw her and heard what had happened to her i couldnt not take her . she had been abandoned at some peoples house by a sopposed friend and these people were terrified of her . she was there for about 3 months with no food and water poored into her bowl thru the top . the cage was filthy , the water bowl was stagnant and the substrate was what apeared to be beach sand(i live about 7 miles from the beach) . she was thin and had layers of old shed all about her body . she also had a recent scar on the top center of her head . how could i not take her from that ? any ways long story short i now am back and here to stay . besides the ball pythons i also have 2 boas one almost 7 foot and one 8 foot . before i got out of reptiles i had been a fairly hard core herper for over 25 years . my ex got me out of it
