Did 9/11 effect you buying or selling snakes?

I just want to see what the effect was on the breeders and the buyers.

Things have died down security wise a lot since then, but right after, I heard that if you wanted something to get somewhere next day that would be almost impossible.

Did this effect you in any way?

I'm not saying I don't care about 9/11, but I voted "could care less" because I don't see how it has to do with anything about snakes.

It has never worried me. I have been ebaying since ebay came out, and shipping/receiving things in the mail is routine to us.

Same here! That was way back when, you know, before joy and happiness (ie snakes)

I just figured I would ask. It was something that was on my mind for a while.

This is an interesting thread to say the least. You live in Georgia correct? You are asking did it interfere with mail across the nation? Or directly from NY?

I went to the scene of 9/11 when things were hectic. As with any mass casualty incident there are repercussions. I walked out of my front door and seen the plumes of smoke for weeks into months. I lost family friends to the tragic events that took place. Yeah it effected me directly emotionally, financially and physically. But my mail and packages kept on coming. They were just waiting for me when I got home. If you are speaking herp wise...NO. My snakes where all waiting for me to get home too. I received mail/packages from different vendors constantly and even overnights with no ill effect.

I don't really understand or know the basis/reason for this post knowing you live so far away from NY? Security? I kind of understand, but I don't.

one of my dearest friends was in the elevator going down for a smoke break (thank goodness he smokes... it saved his life) - just as he stepped out the front doors of the building the plane hit.

at the time i didn't know he was there on a conference.

9/11 deeply affected me. spiritually, emotionally, and even physically. i cried for days.

living in canada on the other side of our shared land mass didn't matter... the pain and tragedy was felt and honestly, at that time, with all the pain and loss... i couldn't have cared less if i got my mail. it was so low on the priority list - that it doesn't even count.

Wow; glad your friend made it out ok.
I remember that morning; my boyfriend had gone to work and I was home on the computer; went to the equine forum I still frequent, and someone posted about it.. then Mark called me and I turned the TV on and I was just so stunned; the worst part was that no one knew what was going on as it was happening.
