    Trying to escape

ever since i found apep and returned him to his 10 gallon glass tank, he's been trying to get out at night. is it because he is unhappy with his home? he has a half log in there, a rubber branch, water, green terrarium bedding, and a 60 watt bulb on top of the tank. he's almost a foot and a half long, the store wasnt exactly sure on his birthdate. im guessing he's almost a year old. i keep teh tank warm all day, and at night i turn the light off. is it common for them to keep trying to escape?

And pay particular attention to the temperature gradient you need to maintain 24/7 and to what kinds of hides to use.

If you get his envirionment right, I think you'll find you have a much more content snake...although he may still try to explore some at night.

mine did that too after I let it out of the cage. The snake had such a good time roaming around the house, it kept trying to escape

I was getting ready to suggest the heats might not be at correct levels also .
