The snake can push the top off the tube when it gets bigger. That's why you are going to need a plastic cage or one that you built.
Short term no, but i would still check on it a good bit.
And like BPKID said, put something on top of the cage definatly. I dont even trust my tub for Ben nosing around it and put about 10lbs worth of books on it. Crowley gets about 20lbs on his tub.
Eh. even though it seems easy- bloods aren't a beginner snake and it should have been a purchase made after a year or more of experience with keeping bps imo. Either way- congrats! I'm very jealous she's a pretty girl. I love bloods recently, though, every snake i ever started out saying "No, dont like it. Ugly" I now love love love! LOL

Re: Big Scare! (blood python pics)

I apologize for not researching in advance. I know have a grasp the concept of what im in store for. With my constant updates and the help from you guys I'm sure my blood will be just fine. I guess I will shut the air vent to my room completely. I will purshase a tube today with a heated pad and a dimmer. I will bring like 6 large binder clips home from work today. Any ideas on what size tube I should buy her?
