They use it to kill AND digest they're prey which is also a problem with making them into venomoids. Iv read that they dont have all the acids in their stomach to help break down the eatin prey as a non-venomous snake would have. They run into alot of problems like they're poop being backed up..... sorry, I forgot the technical term for both of those.

Declawing a cat is just as barbaric.
If you don't want a cat to scratch don't get a cat.

Declawing can lead to a lot of problems in the future. A large quantity of cats that are declawed and in shelters were turned in because the cats began peeing where they shouldn't.

Imagine having your toe nails ripped out and then being expected to walk on litter to go to the bathroom. Many cats associate litter box with pain and will find other places to go.

I would never declaw a cat and I urge others not to as well.

actually, to get picky, and please dont take offense, but declawing a cat is worse than ripping out your toenails. if you hold your hand up and look at the top knuckles on your fingers...in the nail area.

now, cut that finger off at the knuckle. THATS how they declaw cats, and I wholeheartedly agree with you. it is a barbaric practice and should NOT be legal.
