    Don't Touch That Dial!!

Just wanted to put out a little story. When I set up my husbandry, I had two analog thermometers and a dial hygrometer (exo-terra) to tide me over until I could get the money to go digital. When I went and set up the digital thermo/hygrometer, I discovered my thermometers were off almost five degrees and my hygrometer was out by forty percent! My humidity was too low - not too high!
So just a reminder to you all out there - join the digital age and get some thermometers and hygrometers with BATTERIES! These are much nicer and I rest easier knowing my snake's temps are being read way more accurately than before.

Oh and he ate again today like a champ, for those tuned into the Orey channel My boyfriend was very impressed and is even more enamored than before, I think! I'm feeding him on a 5 day schedule until he gets a little chubbier, then I'll cut back to 7-10.

Very good to know you care enough for your snake to get him the right equipment.

Awesome! I wish my girl would even eat.

I had an Exo Terra hydrometer too - and it stopped working after a few weeks. I got another one which is absolutely fine - and accurate. Can't remember the make of it and I'm too tired right now to go look.

Not long back from the hospital as my son has suspected appendicitis He's also waiting for a kidney transplant and is currently on dialysis. He's only 20 and has been on dialysis since he was 15. He has 4 Cornsnakes and a baby Boa who keep him company as he is stuck in his bedroom for at least 10 hours on his dialysis machine.

We should know what's happening later on this morning.

Oh my. I hope they find a match for him soon. It's horrible to see your child suffer in any way. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I wish you the best of luck with your son, lady python. You've been nothing but help to me and I had no idea you were going through such a challenge. I wish you all the best, and that your son keeps his appendix intact (or out of him in a timely fashion) and some kidneys in him right away.
