    a newcomer's pics

Well, as I posted in a different post that ended up in a different place (I'm still working on the layout here ) I am new to this forum and I thought I would share some pics of my "zoo" (as my friends have affectionately nicknamed my collection).

Fuego. He is my first snake - a male Okeetee corn snake. I got him last December. He is now about 10 months old, just over 2 feet long, about as big around as my thumb, and a VERY neat little guy!

Puzzle. He is the guy who brought me here...my little baby bp. I got him a few weeks ago and he is 2 months old. I am absolutely intrigued with him!! So far he has eaten enthusiastically for me 3 times and shed once. He is a perfect little gentleman.

Gwen (black) and India (white). Gwen is my 17 year old Aussie/German shorthair mix. I've her all 17 years!! I don't think she will be around too much longer and that makes me sad. But I know that I have given hera L-O-N-G and well loved life, so I'll take comfort in that. India is a 4 year old jack Russell/blue heeler mix. On the rare occassion that she stops moving for a few minutes, she is wonderfully cuddlely!

Achilles. He is my rescue kitty. I found him as a stray when he was 5-6 weeks old, severely emaciated, and covered in mange. I'll admit that cats aren't my pet of choice, but I'm a sucker for pathetic little critters (my weak spot...my Achiles heel...hence his name LOL). Now he is a 1 year old respectable looking cat who provides a great playmate for India

Well, there ya go! My little family (or zoo as some call it). I've always loved critters, so I am happy to have an apartment full of them!

(BTW...can anyone tell me how to get normal sized pics? These are just the little ones, but if I try to post the real ones they come out HUGE...too big to view comfortably)

What an adorable home full of critters! I think my facination with mythology etc is the only reason my crew hasn't been called a zoo. I tend to get "bestiary" and "menagerie" a lot, lol.

You're rolling with a beautiful crew there!

    Welcome aboard (belatedly sorry).

On the pics if you resize the originals (huge in these megapixel days lol) prior to upload you can squeeze up to 800wx600h in the forums.

Some folks also post the thumbnails as you did and then link them to the full-size shots in the gallery. If you'd like me to go in and link them for you (if the edit window has expired) just shoot me a PM.

Aww what a lovely group of creatures! Thanks for sharing your pics. I use a free version of FastStone Image Viewer and FastStone Photo Resizer for my pics before I upload them into the BPNet gallery or my Photobucket account.

    Re: a newcomer's pics

    Thanks guys/gals!

Most people say I have too many critters...I say not enough! LOL I'd love to get more, but I think I'm at max capacity with what I have. With my busy schedule I don't think I could properly care for anything else, so I'm happy with what I have I'm single so this is like my "family" (until I get around to starting an official family someday).
