Re: Fishtank Foto Fest! (DU warning)
Awesome pics there! I like yer ACF; aren't they little froggie eating machines?
Are those sharks (the stripey, flat bottomed ones?) Awesome!

Both sharks. One is a brownbanded and the other is a whitespotted.
The brown sac on the sand in one of the tank pics is the egg sac from that brownbanded shark. Hatched both of them.
Those frogs are PIGS. That one is a little over 3 years old and it has grown huge in that time. My hand is next to the tank to give a size reference of it. Hard to believe those tiny little things you buy out of a ten gallon tank at the petstore can get that big.

If your frog is that big, chances are it's a female! Have you ever bred them? We had eggs last year and raised them (VERY demanding, the tads are tiny and susceptible to planarian infections.) Now I guess any eggs would be eaten up before they could hit the tank floor, lol.

The other cichlid is a red fin boreyli. The catfish looks like a pictus or a 4 line pictus.

Never tried. I have bred firebelly frogs in the past. The call that the male makes over and over and over again is loud and really gets on your nerves. After having about 100 of the little ones and the male actually killing one female by basically drowning it while on top "doing the deed", I decided to stop breeding them.
