Re: It's Easter time!!!
I have a question also cue. What medium are you using? I noticed that you did not have the eggs directly in you medium but on a rack. Is there a reason or method to this?
(Just wondering, for future reference. I was suprised with eggs after buying my ball python from a pet stop and put my eggs directly in my medium; vermiculite/perlite/water. Sadly they didn't make it. )

The method I use is call substrate less incubation. The premise behind this is that you put the eggs on the crate and not the medium. Then under the crate you use a medium that is more heavily saturated with water. This allows you to keep the humidity very high without the eggs actually touching the medium. I think the eggs stay more hydrated and the babies are born larger with this method. I hope this helps.
I am sorry to hear about loss and the best luck next time!!

Re: It's Easter time!!!
Have you had much sucess with this method. I'm just got a male pastel from Vaughn and I may try to breed him with my normal female (when he's ready of course, he's still a hatchling ) This maybe something I might try.

I sure have! I have only incubated one other clutch of ball python eggs this way(a couple of months ago) and it worked perfectly. I totally think you should breed your pastel, he's a hottie
