Re: I shouldn't slit it, should I?
I haven't slit it yet; still waiting on it. I could hardly even concentrate on work today, and I get home and the egg looks exactly the same as it did this morning! Trichotillomania isn't that far off!

Re: I shouldn't slit it, should I?
I candled it again tonight as best I could, using the brightest flashlight we have; here's the best description I can give. A third of the egg seems to be empty save for some veins; it is the folded-in part you can see in the pic. Now the remaining two thirds is made up of a dark, solid, non seethrough shape, rounded but I can make out no details at all. (hopefully this is a little hatchling...) Now the good part is, there are a bunch of red veins throughout; they look nice and healthy. I dno;t see any "dramatic" movements yet.
I am wondering; could it just be developing slowly due to my homemade incubator I had it in for the first few weeks? The temps then were around 85; now I have gradually moved it up to 90 over the last month. The incubator keeps the temp right on; the humidity stays in with the lid on the r-maid. I do not think the embryo is ready at all to hatch just yet!
