Just did a scorpion rescue..mite infestation HELP!!

Ok... this guy just quit where I work and gave me his scorpion because he is moving. I have no idea why he's not taking it with him. Anyway, i was feeding it and checking it out and saw that it was crawling with mites. I need to knock this out quick. I don't want them spreading to my ball python or bearded dragon. I need some suggestions ASAP.

Don't worry about the mites spreading to your snake collection. There are MANY different species of mites, and the common snake mite (Ophionyssus Natricis) will not be living on a scorpion. The best way to control the mite populations on your scorpion is to keep in on a dry substrate for a while, and replace the substrate every few days or so to get rid of any eggs laid. The mites will reproduce much quicker in a humid moist climate. Most of the mites should finish their life cycle in the next month or so, and if you get rid of all the eggs (in the substrate), you should be mite-free once the current residents die off. Make sure crickets didn't lay eggs in there. I saw grain size crickets once and thought they were mites
