The problems I see is that by introducing a section that may include non-family oriented writing, it, one, opens the door for lewd discussions not pertaining to the writing and two, it excludes some of our members.
Personally, I'm all for lewd discussions, but one of the foundations of BP.net is it's family-orientation, so opening the door to segregation and adult conversations is maybe somewhere we don't want to go. I dunno...I'd love to read y'all writing, but this may not be the right place to share it.

Re: Writing Center
I think a gloves off forum would be alright if you could restrict access in some way...what means do you have to do so, if at all?
I guess I just don't want to see bps.net cluttered by a whole lot of off-topic type stuff, if I want to read eccentric writing or 30 page rants on someone's love life, I'll go somewhere else to do so.

Re: Writing Center
I'll buy the domain - foot the hosting bill, whatever it takes - but BPnet's prime directive has to stay herp-oriented and as such most beneficial if open to all (even as I struggle not to type the way I speak - which makes Al Swearengen there sound like Tony Blair).
"I don't FEEL tardy . . ."

Re: Writing Center
Isn't "staying herp-related" and "open to all" mutually exclusive?.....making forums for off-topic interests so it attracts a wider variety of people isn't a move towards "staying herp-related."
Is that what you were saying? I might me misinterpreting what you said so clear that up if you can.

Re: Writing Center
"open to all" was referring to age groups, etc
Not your fault it was poorly worded - the quittin whistle is blowing here at the quarry and if I dont skedaddle fast Mr Slade will make me work late without pay

Yeah, I agree with Smulkin. This is a great idea, but just might not work on this forum. If I know him, he'll come up with a great plan and have the gonads to intiate it too.
