Bad shed! Help!

Trigger is having his 1st shed with me and its going horrible! First he lost all his individual scales, now he remainer skin is just flaking off! He's been in this shed for over a week. I have the humidity between 72 and 75 % in the viv. I have fake plants and things he can rub on.

This picture is from two days ago, he's looking much worse now! All his skin is flakey.



What can I do to help??

give trigger a soak in some luke warm water for a bit...it'll restore some moisture to the lil' guy plus help get rid of the loose skin.also, maybe mist him a few times a day. check your hygrometer as well. if it's one of those ones with a dial, don't trust em'. the first one i bought was always stuck at 70%, which i only realized after getting a digital one.

What always works for me is the pillow-case trick. Soak a pillow-case or similar type of sack in warm water. Wring it out just enough so it's not dripping, but still very wet. Then just place your snake inside, twist it close on the top, and place him in a plastic Rubbermaid box. Place the box in the viv and leave him there for two hours. Just make sure the box is not located under a heat light and remember to set a timer so you don't get distracted and forget about him. The wet sack will moisturize his skin and the action of moving around the sack will rub off most (if not all) of his stuck shed.

You beat me to it Lawrence. This is great way to help problem sheeders to get all of that old skin off. This would be my recommendation also.

Same thing hapened to me with my bp i just misted it few times a day and all of it came off. I have proper humidity levels and temp. soo.. who knows what i did wrong ....by the way i have it on a 20gl terranium with 1 hide a branch to climb and a larger water bowl which it never soaks in and rarely drinks from.
